The Big S.C.

After my Grandma's birthday party, Gavin and I headed to the airport for our trip to Charleston, South Carolina. Can I just tell you how much we loved it there?! It was so nice to just be together with no stress, no work... and the best part we didnt have to pay for it! This was the trip I won on the radio, so it was all free. When we arrived in South Carolina after our layover in Atlanta, the humidity hit me like a wall. I could almost not breathe it was so strong. Our hotel was beautiful, it had such a southern feel to it with the big ceilings, harwood floors and large doorways.

They gave free breakfast, but we never woke up by ten to go down and eat, so we just skipped breakfast the whole trip. We arrived there Friday morning, which gave us all day to play! We walked everywhere since we didnt get a rental car, and we were sweaty the whole time, haha. Just across the park next to our hotel was the Fashion District named King Street. It was the cutest street full of fun botiques and shops.

All of the shops looked like this. We went here and got a bunch of cow tails... our favorite! It is such an old town, but they do a great job to keep it up to date. There is a college in town so there are a ton of young people, and bicycles everywhere. While we were shopping King Street Thursday night, it starting pouring like crazy. The thunder and lighting were right above us and it was sooo scary.

We were stuck in front of this store for almost 30 minutes, until we decided we weren't going to let a little rain get in the way of our vacation. We decided to run through it a few blocks to get some dinner.

We ate at Bubba Gump's, which is our favorite vacation dinner spot. Saturday morning we slept in as long as we could before we were completely starved. We decided to go get some lunch when we ran into a farmers market in the park right next to our hotel. It was so warm outside, the perfect day for stroll around the park. We got some crepes and lemonade there, it was kinda different and a little good, not my fav.

We were sweating so bad by the end we decided to go swimming back at the hotel.

beautiful right?? Before the concert, we decided to scope out the town some more. We stopped and got a couple of cup cakes from this cute cupcake shop.

Gavins was called black and white... delicious, and mine was key lime, even better!

We hung out in the park and ate our yummy cupcakes while waiting til nine for the concert to start. When we picked up our tickets, we had back stage passes and front frow standing seats. Since I had already met Lee before and Gavin didnt care to meet him, we decided to not go backstage. Yet Gavin didnt want to give them away to someone else, selfish boy! Anyway, the concert was good but really loud!

This is Luis Brice, he opened for Lee, I am guessing a relative.

I really do love Lee Brice's music. I am such a country fan, and his music is so clean, I love listening to it.

We had such a fun trip. Who knows when we will be able to go that far away again. Gavin is truely my best friend.
